If you want to apply to sponsor a family member. If you are a citizen or permanent resident of Canada and at least 18 years old, you can sponsor certain relatives under the Family Class (spouse, conjugal or common-law partner, dependent child (this includes an adopted child), parents and grandparents, or other eligible relatives.)
